Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. is to maintain public Christian worship and foster
community service, to carry out the great commission of the Church as commanded by Jesus Christ, and
to conduct Christian training and fellowship for the spiritual growth of its members.
Our Faith Demonstrations
Baptism: Baptism is the act of being immersed completely underwater. Baptism does not bring
salvation. It is a symbolic demonstration of our salvation experience. Being lowered under the water is a
picture of being buried to your old life of sin. Coming up out of the water is a symbol of arising to a new
life as a believer in Jesus.
Church Membership: Church membership demonstrates our commitment to join a local group of
fellow believers in order to worship, grow as a disciple, minister to others in need, and share the good
news about Jesus and His salvation.
Lord's Supper: At Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. The Lord's Supper is an observance
that Jesus instructed His followers to do regularly. It is a reminder that Jesus died on the cross for each
of us. The bread reminds us of His broken body and the juice is a symbol of His blood that fell that day.
